Pieter van den Oord

Pieter has been a lawyer at the La Gro Geelkerken attorneys since 2007. Over the period 2019-2021, he was the firm’s managing partner. Drawing on his experience as a lawyer and director, he assists entrepreneurs in mergers and acquisitions, shareholder disputes, and other strategic processes. He also heads up the firm’s Procurement Law, Competition Law, and State Aid team. Pieter tells it like it is, sets the strategy, and will take care of things for you. • Business law: drawing up and advising on various types of contracts (joint ventures, takeovers, shareholders’ agreements), litigating and advising in business law disputes (shareholder disputes, decision annulments), advising on distribution, agency, franchise, and procurement agreements;
• Procurement law: assisting public authorities and contracting entities and companies (tenderers) in procurement law disputes, as well as advising on tendering procedures, area development, land allocation, including advice in the state aid law domain, if applicable;
• Competition law: representing and assisting clients in cases of enforcement and supervision by the Netherlands Authority for Consumers & Markets (ACM), advising on mergers and other (collaboration) agreements (distribution, agency, franchise, and procurement agreements), advising on matters relating to the Dutch Market & Government Act;
• State aid law: assisting and advising (semi-)public bodies and companies in the area of state aid, including in the purchase and sale of land, financing constructions, public-private partnerships and land development, reporting aid or filing complaints with the European Commission, assisting parties in audits by the European Commission;
